Viruses have short generation times with high mutation rates. They replicate by invading the host cell and forcing it to copy the DNA or RNA of the virus. It then multiplies breaking through the cell walls with thousands of new virus strands. They are also known to jump and infect other species. Anti-Viral may help inhibit viral life cycles.
