Viruses have short generation times with high mutation rates. They replicate by invading the host cell and forcing it to copy the DNA or RNA of the virus. It then multiplies and breaks through the cell walls, producing thousands of new virus strands. They can also jump between species and cause infections. Anti-Viral may help inhibit viral life cycles.
